Bennett Valley Knolls HOA: Lawn Conversion in Santa Rosa

Soilogical designed and installed a water-wise landscape transition for Bennett Valley Knolls HOA in Santa Rosa. Completed in October 2025, the project converted approximately 10,865 square feet across two lawn areas into climate-adapted planting supported by efficient irrigation and healthy soil.

From lawn to a living landscape

The work combined site assessment, base mapping, planting and irrigation design, rebate-aligned planning, installation, and establishment follow-up. Lawn was cut and flipped, then covered with compost, overlapping burlap, and mulch. Low-water trees, shrubs, grasses, and perennials replaced the turf. Line-source drip irrigation and dedicated tree drip rings support the different watering needs of the new planting.

Recognition from Santa Rosa Water

Bennett Valley Knolls HOA received a 2026 Water-Use Efficiency Award from Santa Rosa Water. The City describes approximately 11,000 square feet of converted lawn and estimates annual water savings of 399,000 gallons. This is the City’s estimate, not a measured savings guarantee.
